Answer: We operate a high-performance, dual-vessel charter fleet consisting of two 32-foot SeaVee 32B center-console boats equipped with custom towers. This allows us to accommodate larger family groups, corporate events, and simultaneous charter bookings out of the Lower Keys.
2. Tell me about your new boat and its Seakeeper stabilization.
Answer: Our newest SeaVee 32B addition features advanced Seakeeper stabilization technology. This gyroscopic stabilizing system virtually eliminates boat roll, ensuring an exceptionally smooth and comfortable ride even when offshore or facing choppy seas—making it ideal for guests prone to sea sickness or anyone looking for maximum comfort on the water.
3. Where are your charters located and where do we depart from?
Answer: We are based in Cudjoe Key, Florida, and offer convenient departures from Cudjoe Key as well as Oceans Edge Resort & Marina on Stock Island in Key West. This puts us right on the doorstep of the best fishing grounds in the Lower Keys.
4. Who are the captains for Above & Below Fishing Adventures?
Answer: Your charters are helmed by professional, seasoned captains—Captain Jose and Captain Jose Sr.—who bring a lifetime of local knowledge and expertise navigating the offshore waters, reefs, and backcountry of the Florida Keys.
5. What are your primary fishing specialties?
Answer: We specialize in elite offshore and reef fishing trips, including daytime offshore swordfishing with LP electric reels, heavy-duty deep-dropping, and filling bag limits on yellowtail snapper, mutton snapper, grouper, mahi-mahi, and sailfish.
6. Can we book both of your SeaVee boats at the same time for a large group?
Answer: Yes! Because we run a dual-vessel fleet, corporate retreats, multi-family vacations, and large parties can book both 32-foot SeaVee boats to fish side-by-side on the same day.
7. What electronics and amenities are on your SeaVee boats?
Answer: Both of our SeaVee 32B vessels are rigged with top-of-the-line Simrad marine electronics, custom fishing towers with upper stations, high-speed Starlink WiFi, premium sound systems, and a clean, private head (marine toilet) on board.
8. Do I need to buy a Florida fishing license before the trip?
Answer: No. When you book a charter with Above & Below Fishing Adventures, all state and federal fishing licenses, premium tackle, bait, rods, and safety gear are completely covered and provided for everyone on board.
9. What should we bring on our charter?
Answer: We recommend bringing polarized sunglasses, a hat, non-spray sunscreen (lotion only, please), weather-appropriate clothing, and your favorite food and drinks. We supply large coolers stocked with plenty of ice.
10. Do you clean and fillet our catch after the trip?
Answer: Absolutely. At the end of every trip, our crew will professionally clean, fillet, and bag your catch so it’s ready to take home or bring to a local “hook-and-cook” restaurant in Key West or Cudjoe Key.Thank you so much !!! Hope to see you soon!!!
